MusterPoint is excited to be supporting CommsCamp in 2018.
Held in Sheffield and Birmingham, CommsCamp is for public sector comms people and is an unconference - meaning there’s no agenda until the attendees set this themselves on the day.
Why are we supporting CommsCamp and how?
MusterPoint came about at an event just like this one. Our founder, Christine Townsend, has a background in public sector comms and was frustrated by what wasn’t available to manage social media and media for the public sector. She also didn’t like how big Corporate’s did business with the public sector.
So after a lot of cake and unruly debate, she decided to design, build and run a dashboard that would help cash-strapped but passionate public sector comms and Emergency planning pros get things done when it came to collaborating and managing social media and crisis comms.
“Without the impetus and inspiration of all those that attended that unconference, MusterPoint would never have been born. It’s been a tough few years but so rewarding to be able to provide something that really helps people. When I see MusterPoint being used to manage campaigns and major incidents without draining the public purse, I get such a buzz.
There’s no reason why organisations large and small should be put at risk simply because they have little or no budget.”
So, once again we’ve chosen to contribute to CommsCamp so it can continue to run and hopefully inspire those attending like it did Christine. We’re providing all the lunch grab bags at each event because nothing good was ever built on an empty stomach.
Not only that, but attendees to both events will get to join one of our online crisis simulations absolutely free. If you’re one of the lucky ones who got a ticket simply grab your secret password from your lunch bag.
